“When considering which legal representative to choose to represent your interests, in a claim for compensation for injuries sustained because of the negligence of another person or organisation, you are faced with another stressful situation that can exacerbate the suffering you have already endured. Unless you are familiar with the process it can be daunting reading all the often excessive hype on legal firms websites regarding very high value outcomes for their clients. And with all the rejection/s from the defending party/ies denying responsibility and justified suspicions of legal professionals it becomes a very stressful task.

 

My wife suffered a serious and humiliating fall that resulted in life changing injuries. The organisation responsible for the dangerous and poorly maintained thoroughfare, although sympathetic, referred us to their insurers. There we were met with blank anonymous almost complete denial, apart from a token paltry small-change non committal compensation with a final settlement clause and no further negotiation under any circumstance.

It was such a humiliating rejection that we decided that we needed some legal representation. And that’s where our luck changed. After seeing Injury WA’s website amongst many others and doing some online research regarding the principal lawyer Sigi Cohen, who I found to be well respected in the legal community, we approached him for an initial interview.

Sigi does not fit my idea of the stereotypical profile of an injury claims lawyer as he is absolutely honest, makes no rash motivational claims, and is very professional at all times. However he is, unlike others in his profession, very genuinely empathic and understanding of his client’s particular circumstances and feelings during all the (in my wife’s case) prolonged, strenuous and harrowing journey to seek justifiable compensation. It is not until you witness his persistent uncompromising determination to obtain a result from a very powerful opponent, who to an extent was backed up by law, that you realise the strength of characgter and power of his personality he possesses.

We were, and are still, very grateful to this amazing man who obtained compensation beyond expectations while being harrassed by the deception and incompetent bloody mindedness of the defendant. All the while providing positive moral, thoughtful and caring support for my wife who was not only suffering physically from the initial fall but also mentally from the long drawn out process perpetuated purposefully by the defendants.

We have made a few decisions we have regretted in our lives, but we can say without any reservation that contacting Injury WA and deciding to have Sigi represent my wife was one of the best thing we have even done.”
